Hong Kong Disneyland - Celebration in the Air - Photo Report

On September 12, 2005, a new magical kingdom opened its gates on 21 hectares of reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Five years later, Hong Kong Disneyland has managed to conquer the hearts of the young and old alike.

Throughout the years, Hong Kong Disneyland welcomed over twenty million guests from around the world. The resort became one of the leading tourist destinations in Asia. To mark it's fifth anniversary, Hong Kong Disneyland organizes "Celebration in the Air", a year-long entertainment experience beginning January 21, 2011.

At the occasion of the fifth year celebrations, Tinker Bell has made her first appearance in Hong Kong Disneyland and showered "Sleeping Beauty Castle" with magical fairy dust, transforming it into "Tinker Bell's Pixie Dusted Castle".

By day, the castle glistens as the golden pixie dust sparkles and shimmers in the Hong Kong sun. By night, it magically lights up as Tinker Bell circles around its turrets.

Guests of all ages can meet and greet Tinker Bell in her own magical garden in Fantasyland. It's the perfect place to collect a souvenir autograph or to take fun photos.

The highlight of the "Celebration in the Air" entertainment experience has to be "Disney's Flights of Fantasy Parade", an all-new, highly interactive parade featuring 24 beloved Disney characters and more than 100 performers.

Food and beverages are being served in special themed packaging. And a special anniversary theme song has been composed.
