Features of this Website

Welcome to the Designing Disney Research Center, a Disney Fan website dedicated to the art and history of Disney theme parks.

Almost once a week (since 2009), I post on this site elaborate and well illustrated articles discussing the stories and history behind - the creation of - famous Disney theme park rides, shows, parades, shops and restaurants.

Below you can find a description of the principal features of my website, with an emphasis on how they contribute to the implementation of the mission of the Research Center.

The mission

Investigating, and encouraging others to investigate, the art and history of Disney theme parks, in the firm belief that a good understanding of their creation and roots will fuel higher appreciation of their beauty and unique charm. - “Because magic makes you smile!”

Implementation of the mission

Writing articles, adding to the greater knowledge of the art and history of Disney theme parks.

Archiving my articles in a conveniently arranged database.

Giving readers a chance to share their knowledge by:

- Inviting them to add additional information to the articles I write.

- Inviting them to become a guest writer and publish an article on my website.
