Thanks to the continuous support of the Disney Fan Community, Designing Disney has grown into one of the most popular websites in Europe dedicated to the art and history of Disney theme parks / Disneyland Paris. This has given us the unique opportunity to explore the wondrous world of Disney in an unprecedented way.

Since the community has been so helpful, we thought we should do something in return: sharing – and encouraging our readers to share – the magic with those in need.

For that reason, Designing Disney has supported & will continue to support certain Disney related charitable institutions. And by giving them a place on our website, we spur you on to make a donation too. Because sharing the magic makes you smile!

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. A visit to a Disney theme park has always been the most popular wish. Nearly 45 percent of the wish requests are Disney related.

Designing Disney shared the power of a wish during its “Charitable Fund Raising Christmas 2010”.

Ryman Arts

Ryman Arts is a non-profit fine arts education organization that provides free advanced drawing and painting classes in Los Angeles / Southern California. It was established in 1990 as a living tribute to Walt Disney Imagineer Herbert Ryman.

We donated three “ArtBin’s” to the students of Ryman Arts during the induction of mister Herb Ryman in Designing Disney’s “WDI Collection” (July 2011).

Donate an “ArtBin” ($ 50) filled with art supplies to a beginning, needy Ryman Arts student.

Give Kids The World

Give Kids The World is a 70-acre, non-profit storybook resort located near Central Florida's most beloved attractions where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to week-long, cost-free fantasy vacations.

In September 2011, the Designing Disney crew made its donation and, by doing so, helped the Walt Disney World Moms Panel to raise $ 12.000 for Give Kids The World. During the 2012 Holiday Season, we raised money for Give Kids The World as well.

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)

Working in over 150 countries, the “United Nations Children’s Fund” provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, protection, emergency relief, and more. Despite extraordinary progress, 21,000 children still die each day from preventable causes. UNICEF’s mission is to do whatever it takes to make that number zero by giving children the essentials for a safe and healthy childhood.
