What is this book all about?

This book explains the Hidden Mickeys phenomenon and lists the Hidden Mickeys that can be found on the Disney Cruise Line ships and Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island in the Bahamas). Instead of just describing them, the Hidden Mickeys were organized into five scavenger hunts, providing clues and hints to the locations where they can be found. A scoring system allows groups of people to compete in the hunt.

Can I take a little peek inside?

“Hidden Mickeys probably started as an inside joke among the Imagineers. According to Disney guru Jim Hill, Hidden Mickeys originated in the late 1970s or 1980s, when Disney was building Epcot. Disney management wanted to restrict Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie to the Magic Kingdom park. However, the Imagineers designing Epcot couldn’t resist slipping Mickey into the new park, and thus ‘Hidden Mickeys’ were born.”
